Our Mighty Oaks benefit from a more structured approach and our maximum of a 1 to 8 ratio with additional support staff ensures that each child can benefit from time spent in a one-to-one situation and in small groups.  Our Mighty Oaks room leader again a qualified level 6 teacher has the experience to provide the very best learning opportunities in a way that is fun and entertaining.

All our children transfer seamlessly from our Super Saplings room with our close liaison between the rooms and regular mixed grouped activities, ensuring a smooth and happy transition.

Within small classes the children are able to work in a secure and stimulating learning environment, where the needs of every child are assessed and provided for. This is our pre-school classroom and  letter and number recognition, reading and writing, addition and subtraction are all supported here. Our children are introduced to a reading scheme, phonics and have the opportunity to take advantage of home learning should they wish.Image created my http://www.pjaphotography.com © Pja Photography 2007-2014

As a parent, you can expect at least 4 planned educational trips for this age group each year and theses are pre planned on our calendar of events.  All day trips are free of charge.

We are proud of how well Oakland Hall children go on to a school environment with ease and confidence and we have close communication with the onward school of their choice.

We invite their onward schools into our Nursery in readiness for departure.  This gives the school a clear indication of each childs ability and personality.

When the day comes for our Mighty Oaks to leave us, we send them off with a graduation celebration. Although a sad day we hope they will come back to see us over the holidays and join into our holiday club.  Its a proud day for us and their parents, not a dry eye in the house.
