Super Saplings 2 - 3yrs

Again, our Super Saplings children are exposed to rich vocabulary through Structured Storytime from our carefully selected literature spine and are encouraged to use/repeat new words, especially through play and adult-led activities. There are many opportunities throughout the day where our Saplings children have the opportunity to speak within small and large groups, expanding their vocabulary and developing conversational skills.
Just like in Little Acorns, there is the opportunity for children to take part in daily Squiggle Whilst you Wiggle time, or depending on development and ability, may take part in guided drawing sessions.

As our children move through Super Saplings more independence is encouraged where appropriate and dependent on development, ready for the transition into the Mighty Oaks where the children grow in school readiness.

The children take part in lots of arts and crafts, including threading and beading to help improve their motor skills. Colours and shapes are introduced with a real focus on ‘hands-on’ learning – making, doing and building, increasing their ability to concentrate and attention spans.

Our teachers take the time to aid speech development and discuss books and day to day activities with the children, engaging and encouraging their response and understanding. All children are encouraged to take books home for their parents to read with them.
