We loved the separate sleeping room, the number and variety of sessions run throughout the week by specialist providers and the age grouping of each room allowing development with peers of a similar age. Oakland gives the perfect balance of free play, imagination space and structured play to build the children’s social, emotional and motor skills.
Our eldest has progressed through all four rooms and we have seen him develop from a shy baby to a confident, well-mannered little boy. The staff in each room have gone above and beyond, supporting our son individually to overcome challenges where needed. As a military family, we have been particularly grateful for the additional emotional support provided by all the staff during periods of parent deployment. The staff always take the time to discuss progress and areas for support, and we have found the regular parents’ meetings to be very reassuring. The Christmas concerts and sports days are particular highlights and wonderful opportunities to see all of the children working as a community.
We feel confident that our son will thrive at school thanks to the structured curriculum, as well as the fantastic variety of activities including forest play, ballet, All Sorts Tots and Robot Reg. The highest praise that we can offer is that our son loves attending Oakland Hall, and always arrives and leaves with a smile on his face.
