"We visited several nurseries before settling on Oakland Hall. We loved the separate sleeping room, the number and variety of sessions run throughout the week by specialist providers and the age grouping of each room allowing development with peers of a similar age. Oakland gives the perfect balance of free play, imagination space and structured play to build the children’s social, emotional and motor skills.
Our eldest has progressed through all four rooms and we have seen him develop from a shy baby to a confident, well-mannered little boy. The staff in each room have gone above and beyond, supporting our son individually to overcome challenges where needed. As a military family, we have been particularly grateful for the additional emotional support provided by all the staff during periods of parent deployment. The staff always take the time to discuss progress and areas for support, and we have found the regular parents’ meetings to be very reassuring. The Christmas concerts and sports days are particular highlights and wonderful opportunities to see all of the children working as a community.
We feel confident that our son will thrive at school thanks to the structured curriculum, as well as the fantastic variety of activities including forest play, ballet, All Sorts Tots and Robot Reg. The highest praise that we can offer is that our son loves attending Oakland Hall, and always arrives and leaves with a smile on his face.

"With an older brother in Mighty Oaks, it was an easy decision for our daughter to join the Little Explorers. We love the setting, the high standards of care and the wonderful variety of activities offered in all rooms. Staff have helped our daughter adapt to the nursery routine and have worked with us to incorporate her feeding and sleeping requirements. Our daughter was diagnosed with a disability shortly after starting at Oakland Hall and the staff been instrumental in helping our family navigating the next steps. The SEN support at Oakland Hall is faultless and staff have worked closely with medical and occupational health professionals, ensuring that our daughter is meeting milestones we were unsure would be possible. She has now been able to progress to the Little Acorns room and is thriving, loving getting involved in messy play, music, All Sorts Tots and time outside. We will be forever grateful for support we have been given at Oakland Hall."

"Max has been attending Oakland Hall Nursery since he was about 15 months old after previously attending another nursery we weren’t happy with. The change in Max since he started with OH has been huge, he absolutely loves going and has developed so much. His key workers across the rooms have been Kerry, Georgia and Lola all of who have been amazing at keeping us updated on what Max is up to day to day.

Max was also lucky enough to be involved in the Forest Play trials over summer, and now has multiple sessions a week which he thoroughly enjoys!"

"Our son started Oakland at 9 months old and we are so impressed with how well the staff interact with him and the facilities available, as he has moved through the year groups. He’s really flourished at forest school and being outside and learning about nature. We think that this has gives him many more opportunities for different types of free play, learning and interactions with his friends. Staff are fantastic and his key worker has always engaged with us and talked about his day, even though they have an online updating app that is amended throughout the day. We have always been impressed with the care and support that our children have received during their time at nursery and feel this is a particular strength of the staff.
